11th August 2007 - Len Webb Group Match 2
Sheppey FC 10 - 0 Manor Hotel
Sheppey manager Allen made just the one change from the win against the Haynook, returning club captain Chris Staniforth replacing Chris Beech in attack. Staniforth was immediately in the thick of the action as he set up Chipchase for the opening goal after just two minutes. Sheppey continued to force the pace and on 17 minutes it was 2-0, Dunhill's cross from the left sliced into his own net by the Manor right back. 4 minutes later Chipchase latched onto a poor backpass to make it 3-0, sliding his shot through the legs of the onrushing keeper. Manor were now struggling to keep the red tide at bay and Popplewell was unlucky to see his powerful shot from the right corner of the box cannon back of the crossbar. On 34 minutes Manor fashioned their first shot on goal, Wallace striking wide from distance. Two minutes before the break it was 4-0, Dunhill's outswinging corner from the right was powerfully headed home by Spence from 10 yards. HT 4-0.
Two minutes into the second half Chipchase squandered a chance of a hattrick, the keeper tipping his effort round the post. From the resulting corner Spence headed wide when it seemed easier to score. Staniforth then put his left footed shot wide from 6 yards before Spence again headed wide from a corner, although this was a much more difficult chance than the earlier miss. On 62 minutes Mallender was replaced by Bradley at the heart of the Sheppey defence. With 63 minutes on the clock it was 5-0, Staniforth sent a trademark long throw from the left deep into the Manor
